Building permit values in Canada down 1.5% compared with June. Newfoundland and Labrador down 19.0%, Prince Edward Island down 24.3%, Nova Scotia up 28.9%, New Brunswick up 33.9%, Quebec down 9.0%, Ontario up 15.1%, Manitoba up 53.1%, Saskatchewan down 23.5%, Alberta down 15.2%, British Columbia down 24.8%, Yukon up 10.3%, Northwest Territories up 129.4%, Nunavut down 78.5%.

Residential: The total value was up 5.4% month over month.

Non-residential: The total value was down 11.5% month over month.

Single-family dwellings: total value was $2,779 million, representing a month-over-month increase of 7.6% or $196.7 million.

Multi-family dwellings: total value was $4,618 million, representing a month-over-month increase of 4.1% or $181.6 million.

Industrial: total value was $1,079 million, representing a month-over-month decrease of 1.0% or $10.6 million.

Commercial: total value was $1,910 million, representing a month-over-month decrease of 10.8% or $230.9 million.

Institutional: total value was $1,275 million, representing a month-over-month decrease of 19.7% or $311.9 million.
