Today, Statistics Canada is releasing a research paper entitled "Postsecondary students receiving payments from the Canada Emergency Response Benefit (CERB) and the Canada Emergency Student Benefit (CESB) in 2020." This paper provides insights into the differences in the rate of receipt of CERB and CESB among students enrolled in postsecondary education at the beginning of the COVID-19 pandemic. The emergency benefits payments are examined by various educational and socio-economic characteristics.
