Production and disposition of tobacco products, October 2022

Canadian manufacturers produced 1.1 billion cigarettes in October 2022, down 19.9% from September 2022. Cigarette production was 31.3% lower compared with October 2021.
The total number of cigarettes sold decreased 1.7% to 1.3 billion from September 2022. The level of sales was 1.7% lower compared with October 2021.
