Production and disposition of tobacco products, September 2022
Canadian manufacturers produced 1.3 billion cigarettes in September 2022, down 2.7% from August 2022. Cigarette production was 13.6% higher compared with September 2021.
The total number of cigarettes sold decreased 9.4% to 1.3 billion from August 2022. The level of sales was 5.3% lower compared with September 2021.
