The Foreign control in the Canadian economy: Visualization tool is an interactive dashboard that presents country and macro-region level information on foreign control in Canada, by industry sector.
Note to readers
This dashboard is a complement to the Daily article Foreign control in the Canadian economy released on January 31, 2022.
Due to the confidentiality policies, data in the "Macro-region by sector" graph for "Total other" by the industry sectors "Financial industries" and "Non-financial industries" have been suppressed prior to 2018 in the dashboard.
On April 4, 2022, the percentage of total assets, the percentage of total operating revenue, and the percentage of total operating profits have been corrected for reference period 2019 in the data table 33-10-0084-01. Please note that this correction does not affect the absolute values within the table.
