Investment in residential construction for Canada increased 28.4% compared with November 2021. Newfoundland and Labrador was down 26.3%, Prince Edward Island was up 45.9%, Nova Scotia was up 26.6%, New Brunswick was up 33.2%, Quebec was up 39.9%, Ontario was up 33.3%, Manitoba was up 29.1%, Saskatchewan was up 29.3%, Alberta was up 14.0%, British Columbia was up 13.5%, Yukon was up 39.2%, Northwest Territories was up 129.7% and Nunavut was up 15.6%.

Total investment for Canada was $161,967.7 million, total investment for Newfoundland and Labrador was $801.0 million, total investment for Prince Edward Island was $855.8 million, total investment for Nova Scotia was $3,729.0 million, total investment for New Brunswick was $2,377.4 million, total investment for Quebec was $36,652.2 million, total investment for Ontario was $68,607.3 million, total investment for Manitoba was $4,945.6 million, total investment for Saskatchewan was $2,899.0 million, total investment for Alberta was $15,405.5 million, total investment for British Columbia was $25,128.5 million, total investment for Yukon was $266.8 million, total investment for Northwest Territories was $227.7 million and total investment for Nunavut was $71.8 million.

Single homes: Market share was 42.0% and total investment was $33,323.8 million, representing a year-over-year increase of 42.3% or $9,911.4 million.

Semi-detached homes: Market share was 3.9% and total investment was $3,065.3 million, representing a year-over-year increase of 21.4% or $540.6 million.

Row homes: Market share was 9.7% and total investment was $7,696.5 million, representing a year-over-year increase of 26.7% or $1,622.4 million.

Condos and rental apartments: Market share was 44.4% and total investment was $35,223.7 million, representing a year-over-year increase of 22.4% or $6,455.9 million.

Note: Single homes value excludes cottages and mobile homes.
