Investment in residential construction for Canada increased 8.1% compared to March 2021. Newfoundland and Labrador was up 8.9%, Prince Edward Island was up 68.5%, Nova Scotia was up 3.2%, New Brunswick was up 14.2%, Quebec was up 8.4%, Ontario was up 8.4%, Manitoba was up 13.8%, Saskatchewan was up 2.3%, Alberta was up 5.4%, British Columbia was up 5.8%, Yukon was down 3.0%, Northwest Territories was up 107.7%, Nunavut was up 53.3% (use with caution).

Total investment for Canada was $15,257.1 million, total investment for Newfoundland and Labrador was $89.1 million, total investment for Prince Edward Island was $114.2 million, total investment for Nova Scotia was $300.3 million, total investment for New Brunswick was $275.8 million, total investment for Quebec was $3,574.5 million, total investment for Ontario was $6,622.3 million, total investment for Manitoba was $429.2 million, total investment for Saskatchewan was $343.5 million, total investment for Alberta was $1,297.4 million, total investment for British Columbia was $2,171.0 million, total investment for Yukon was $13.5 million, total investment for Northwest Territories was $15.8 million, total investment for Nunavut was $10.5 million (use with caution).

Row homes: Market share was 9.9%, total investment was $593.2 million, representing a year-over-year increase of 38.7% or $165.4 million.

Condo and rental apartments: Market share was 46.2%, total investment was $2,777.1 million, representing a year-over-year increase of 54.0% or $973.7 million.
