Building permit values in Canada down 3.0% compared to June. Newfoundland and Labrador down 19.0%, Prince Edward Island up 66.3%, Nova Scotia up 10.6%, New Brunswick up 10.8%, Quebec down 15.1%, Ontario up 9.8%, Manitoba up 7.2%, Saskatchewan up 9.9%, Alberta up 33.3%, British Columbia down 34.2%, Yukon up 328.6%, Northwest Territories up 20.5%, Nunavut too unreliable to be published.

Residential: a month-over month decrease of 6.2%
Non residential: a month-over-month increase of 3.3%
Single family dwellings: total value was $2,222 million, representing a month-over-month increase of 3.9% or $84.0 million.
Multi-family dwellings: total value was $2,835 million, representing a month-over-month decrease of 12.8% or $415.5 million.
Industrial: total value was $462 million, representing a month-over-month decrease of 15.7% or $86.1 million.
Commercial: total value was $1,628 million, representing a month-over-month increase of 29.9% or $374.6 million.
Institutional: total value was $628 million, representing a month-over-month decrease of 24.2% or $200.8 million.
