Investment in non-residential construction for Canada increased 11.6% compared with May 2020. Newfoundland and Labrador was down 0.5% Prince Edward Island was down 7.8% Nova Scotia was down 1.5% New Brunswick was down 11.0% Quebec was up 28.5% Ontario was up 16.2% Manitoba was down 2.6% Saskatchewan was down 4.2% Alberta was down 3.6% British Columbia was down 2.2% Yukon was down 3.7% Northwest Territories was up 3.3% Nunavut was down 10.3%.

Total investment for Canada was $5,477.0 million, total investment for Newfoundland and Labrador was $38.3 million, total investment for Prince Edward Island was $16.1 million, total investment for Nova Scotia was $53.6 million, total investment for New Brunswick was $56.2 million, total investment for Quebec was $1,429.8 million, total investment for Ontario was $2,223.4 million, total investment for Manitoba was $199.2 million, total investment for Saskatchewan was $106.0 million, total investment for Alberta was $630.4 million, total investment for British Columbia was $707.0 million, total investment for Yukon was $9.4 million, total investment for Northwest Territories was $3.4 million, total investment for Nunavut was $4.1 million.

Institutional: Market share was 22.4%, total investment totalled $1,225.2 million, representing a year-over-year increase of 7.8% or $89.2 million.
