Production and disposition of tobacco products, February 2020
Canadian manufacturers produced 1.4 billion cigarettes in February, up 17.5% from January. Cigarette production was 23.8% lower compared with February 2019.
The total number of cigarettes sold increased 7.2% from January to 1.4 billion in February. The level of sales was 8.6% higher compared with February 2019.
