Wool disposition and farm value, 2018

The volume of raw wool purchased directly from Canadian producers increased 9.6% from 2017 to 1.3 million kilograms in 2018. The average price paid for wool to Canadian producers in 2018 was $1.10 per kilogram.

The total farm value was $1.4 million, up 6.2% from 2017.

Data on the quantity, price and farm value of purchased raw wool and raw wool used on farms are now available for 2018, for Canada and by province.
