Today Statistics Canada is releasing the Travel and tourism statistics portal in keeping with its commitment to making data more accessible to Canadians.
The portal serves as a central location where data users can easily find information on travellers travelling to, from and within Canada, information on the characteristics of travellers and their spending as well as data from the Canadian System of Macroeconomic Accounts on travel and tourism expenditures, employment and gross domestic product. It also highlights the most recent and relevant information on travel and tourism available from Statistics Canada.
The content of the Travel and tourism statistics portal will be updated regularly to ensure that travel and tourism data users find the information they need.
