Building permit values in Canada up 6.1% compared to July 2019. Newfoundland and Labrador up 85.0%, Prince Edward Island up 48.5%, Nova Scotia down 14.0%, New Brunswick down 2.6%, Quebec up 14.7%, Ontario up 4.9%, Manitoba down 6.0%, Saskatchewan up 15.3%, Alberta up 1.8%, British Columbia up 5.0%, Yukon up 23.8%, Northwest Territories up 1.9%, Nunavut down 96.8%.

Residential: a month-over month increase of 11.7%
Non Residential: a month-over-month decrease of 2.7%
Single family dwellings: total value was $2,398 million, representing a month-over-month increase of 3.2% or $73.2 million.
Multi-family dwellings: total value was $3,350 million, representing a month-over-month increase of 18.8% or $529.5 million.
Industrial: total value was $675 million, representing a month-over-month increase of 18.9% or $107.2 million.
Commercial: total value was $1,892 million, representing a month-over-month decrease of 5.9% or $119.6 million.
Institutional: total value was $651 million, representing a month-over-month decrease of 10.7% or $77.7 million.
