The Trucking Commodity Origin and Destination survey data are now available for the reference year 2016.
Note to readers
The data collection process was modified for reference year 2016 so that relatively more respondents were interviewed by telephone rather than in-person. Although data validation steps were applied as per normal procedures, caution should be exercised when comparing the 2016 data with those of previous years, particularly at more detailed levels of commodity and geography.
The Trucking Commodity Origin and Destination Survey collects information on Canada's for-hire trucking industry (North American Industry Classification System, industry 484). The survey targets trucking companies with at least one establishment having an annual revenue of at least $1.3 million. It excludes foreign-based trucking establishments operating in Canada and non-trucking establishments with their own fleets (private trucking).
