Farm product prices, April 2018
Prices received by farmers in April for grains, oilseeds, specialty crops, potatoes, cattle, hogs, poultry, eggs and dairy products are now available at the provincial level.
For example, the price of soybeans in Quebec was $507.70 per tonne in April, up 1.4% from March and 0.8% higher compared with April 2017 when the price was $503.80 per tonne.
Meanwhile, the price of feeder cattle in Manitoba was $159.94 per hundredweight in April, down 3.4% from March and down 5.2% from April 2017 when the price was $168.65 per hundredweight.
