Stocks of frozen and chilled meats in cold storage totalled 150 219 tonnes as of April 1, 2018, up 22.3% from the same month a year earlier.
Compared with January 2018, stocks of frozen beef meats increased 12.6% in April, while stocks of frozen pork meats were up 13.8%.
Note to readers
This release contains data on stock holdings for various cuts of pork, beef, veal, mutton and lamb, and fancy meats at the national level, as well as total red meats at the regional level. This release also contains the holdings of imported meat at the national level for the same periods.
Data on stocks of frozen and chilled meats, domestic and imported, have been revised for January 1, 2018.
