Farm product prices, March 2018
Prices received by farmers in March for grains, oilseeds, specialty crops, potatoes, cattle, hogs, poultry, eggs and dairy products are now available at the provincial level in CANSIM.
For example, the price of hogs in Ontario was $81.05 per hundredweight in March, down 5.8% from February, and down 11.6% from March 2017 when the price was $91.65 per hundredweight.
Meanwhile, the price of canola in Saskatchewan was $504.17 per tonne in March, down 0.4% from February but up 0.5% from March 2017 when the price was $501.47 per tonne.

The price of over 35 commodities is available by province, with some data series going back 40 years. Price data are extracted from administrative files and derived from Statistics Canada surveys.
