Population estimates by marital status, legal marital status, age and sex, as of July 1, 2016, for Canada, the provinces and territories are now available.
Estimates for the years 2012 to 2015 have been revised.
Note to readers
These estimates are based on the 2011 Census counts adjusted for census net undercoverage and incompletely enumerated Indian reserves.
These estimates are not to be confused with the 2016 Census counts by marital status, which will be released on August 2, 2017.
