Aircraft movement statistics: Major airports, April 2016

There were 490,045 aircraft take-offs and landings in April at the 91 Canadian airports with NAV CANADA air traffic control towers and flight service stations, compared with 461,210 movements in the same month the previous year.
Both itinerant movements (flights from one airport to another) and local movements (flights that remain in the vicinity of the airport) increased on a year-over-year basis in April. Itinerant movements were up 3.3% to 331,874, while local movements rose 13.1% to 158,171.
