Egg production increased 4.8% in July from the same month a year earlier to 58.3 million dozen.
Placements of hatchery chicks on farms decreased 1.2% to 58.9 million birds in August compared with the same month a year earlier.
Stocks of frozen poultry meat in cold storage on September 1 were up 10.2% from the same date a year earlier to 84 307 tonnes.
