Note to readers

With each release, data for the previous year may have been revised. The indexes are not seasonally adjusted.

The Accounting Services Price Index (ASPI) is part of the Services Producer Price Index program at Statistics Canada. The ASPI measures changes in the prices of accounting services sold in Canada. The index tracks the prices over time of accounting services that are provided by firms to the same client each year.

With this release of data for 2011, the ASPI has been converted to 2010=100, with 2010 as the base year. The weights used in the compilation of the index have not been updated and reflect the 2010 revenues from the sale of accounting services.
