Gross domestic product by industry, October 2009

Real gross domestic product grew 0.2% in October, a second consecutive monthly advance. Production increased in most major sectors, as was the case in September.

Canada's population estimates, third quarter 2009 

On October 1, 2009, Canada's population was estimated at 33,873,400. In the third quarter, Canada's population grew by 133,500 (+0.40%). Net international migration (+90,500) accounted for just over two-thirds of the increase.
