Production and disposition of tobacco products, December 2022

Canadian manufacturers produced 766 million cigarettes in December 2022, down 45.1% from November 2022. Cigarette production was 26.7% lower compared with December 2021.
The total number of cigarettes sold increased 2.0% to 1.3 billion from November 2022. The level of sales was 1.4% lower compared with December 2021.
