Studies: French-speaking workers in Atlantic Canada, Western Canada and the territories' agriculture and agri-food industries in 2006 and 2016

The reports entitled "Portrait of French-speaking workers in Atlantic Canada's agriculture and agri-food industries, 2006 and 2016" and "Portrait of French-speaking workers in Western Canada and the territories' agriculture and agri-food industries, 2006 and 2016," which are part of the Ethnicity, Language and Immigration Thematic Series (Catalogue number89-657-X), are published today.

These reports present the characteristics of Atlantic Canada and Western Canada's farms in 2016, according to their main operator's first official language spoken. These reports also cover the evolution of the characteristics of workers in the agriculture and agri-food industries in Atlantic Canada, Western Canada and the territories from 2006 to 2016, according to their first official language spoken.

This project was carried out as part of a collaboration between Statistics Canada, Agriculture and Agri-food Canada, and Innovation, Science and Economic Development Canada.

These reports are part of a series of four reports, following the "Portrait of French-speaking workers in Ontario's agriculture and agri-food industries, 2006 and 2016" and the "Portrait of English-speaking workers in Quebec's agriculture and agri-food industries, 2006 and 2016."
