Statistics Canada's Centre for Gender, Diversity and Inclusion Statistics has released new data tables on a number of gender-related topics. These statistics will be used by the Gender Results Framework, a whole-of-government tool designed to track gender equality in Canada.

Using data from the 2016 General Social Survey on Canadians at Work and Home, the Centre has produced new tables on regular participation in sports including a breakdown by sex, province and other intersecting characteristics.

Using data from the 2014 General Social Survey on Victimization, the Centre has also produced information on self-reported incidents of violent crime.

New indicators based on data from the Canadian Income Survey have also been added, showing the average and median gender pay ratio.

All of these new data will soon be housed in the Gender, Diversity and Inclusion Statistics Hub.
