Shipments of other fertilizer products within Canada increased by 48 000 tonnes to 215 000 tonnes in the first quarter of the 2018/2019 fertilizer year (July to September), up 28.7% compared with 2017/2018. This category of fertilizer products has generally been increasing over time; this represents the fourth consecutive increase for a first quarter.
Canadian urea ammonium nitrate production reached 327 000 tonnes in the first quarter, up 27.0% compared with the same period a year earlier.

Note to readers
Data on fertilizer statistics have been revised back to the fourth quarter of the 2017/2018 fertilizer year.
Other fertilizer products includes ammonium polyphosphate, phosphate and sulphur solutions, mixed fertilizer materials, elemental sulphur fertilizers and all other fertilizer products not included in the other product categories.
