Population estimates by marital status, legal marital status, age and sex for Canada, the provinces and territories, as of July 1, 2017, are now available. Revised estimates as of July 1, for the years 2013 to 2016, are also available.
Note to readers
Estimates released today are based on 2011 Census counts adjusted for census net undercoverage and incompletely enumerated Indian reserves.
These estimates are not to be confused with the 2016 Census counts by marital status that were released on August 2, 2017. Population estimates by marital status, legal marital status, age and sex for Canada, the provinces and the territories based on the 2016 Census counts and adjusted for census net undercoverage will be available in March 2019.
